Last week, the SkipperFilms team went on an exciting journey back to one of our favorite places – Twinsburg, Ohio! Our partnership with Turfscape, thanks to Landscape Leadership, has led us to this charming town multiple times, and each visit is filled with unique experiences and memorable moments. Our trip began with a drive to Twinsburg, brimming with anticipation for the upcoming shoot. However, Mother Nature had other plans, as the weather was less than ideal on the first day of filming. Thankfully, Turfscape proved to be incredibly flexible and accommodating. With their support, we managed to make it work, and in doing so, we were treated to a surprise – an introduction to Turfscape’s new robotic mowers! None of us had ever seen this innovative technology in action before, and it left us all thoroughly impressed. The following days were a stark contrast to our rainy start. Beautiful weather graced our shoot, with sunny and cool days creating the ideal conditions for capturing stunning footage. As filmmakers, we thrive on good weather with landscaping shoots, and it undoubtedly played a crucial role in the success of our project. One of the highlights of our trip was spending a day filming Turfscape’s account manager, Fred Krause. We had a blast creating a behind-the-scenes video that showcased the inner workings of Turfscape and the dedicated team behind the scenes. It’s always a pleasure to get to know the people who make these projects possible and share their stories with the world.
On our last day in Twinsburg, we had the privilege of exploring the breathtaking Shaker School and learning about the community’s 100-year-old Rose Garden, lovingly maintained by Turfscape. The history and beauty of this garden were truly inspiring, and it reminded us of the importance of preserving and cherishing our natural surroundings. Of course, no SkipperFilms trip is complete without indulging in some of our favorite local restaurants. Twinsburg offers a diverse culinary scene, and we couldn’t resist savoring some of our go-to dishes while we were in town. Good food always adds an extra layer of enjoyment to our travels!
As we packed up our gear and bid farewell to Twinsburg, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the experiences and memories we had created during our trip. Turfscape, with their unwavering support and commitment to excellence, continues to be a valued partner in our journey as filmmakers. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure with Turfscape and Landscape Leadership.
